Studying AI & Organizational Sciences at Paris Dauphine, building cross-cultural teamwork skills.

1. Study timeline at a glance

I arrived in France for high school in 2021 (possibly 2022) and gradually adapted to open, discussion-driven classrooms. With strong support from teachers and school resources, I completed the French Baccalaureate with a Mention Très Bien.

After graduation, I enrolled at Université Paris Dauphine to major in AI & Organizational Sciences (IA et Science des Organisations), and I am now in my second undergraduate year.

At university I keep exploring how data, technology, and management intersect, and I’m shaping a career path that applies algorithms to real business innovation.

Quick keywords

  • BAC Mention Très Bien
  • AI & Organizational Sciences major
  • Long-term bond with a caring host family

Study rhythm

  1. Master French and core subjects in high school; adapt to the freedom of class discussions.
  2. Enter Paris Dauphine after the BAC to combine AI and management.
  3. Plan internships and projects in university to pave the way for future roles.

2. What France taught me

Studying in France has been absolutely worth it. The multicultural environment—inside and outside the classroom—taught me to see problems from multiple angles.

My host family’s warmth made life abroad feel less lonely. We’re still in touch, and they remain one of my strongest supports in France. That care helped me settle quickly in both study and daily life.

University courses strengthened cross-cultural communication, teamwork, and independent learning. Every project reminded me that self-discipline is essential for long-term growth and for managing time proactively.

Skills that grew

  • Cross-cultural understanding: Appreciating different ways of expressing ideas and values.
  • Communication & teamwork: Sharing opinions in projects and moving goals forward together.
  • Self-management: Planning time and reviewing progress to balance study and life.

A warm memory

My host mom prepared extra meals during exam weeks and encouraged me to keep my rhythm. On weekends we explored markets and cooked French dishes together—small moments that made France truly feel like a second home.

3. Advice for future students

1) Stay disciplined and plan ahead — French high schools offer freedom, but easing up will create pressure later in university. Keep a steady study rhythm and finish assignments on time to maintain grades and mindset.

2) Value your relationships — Good communication smooths your journey. Be open with host families, teachers, and classmates; gratitude and updates turn into reliable support when challenges arise.

3) Keep curiosity alive — Join campus events and explore the city to experience art, culture, and daily life. Connecting classroom knowledge with real life makes growth more complete.

Action checklist

  • Review the syllabus early and set weekly and monthly goals.
  • Keep an open dialogue with your host family about study plans and life updates.
  • Use holidays for short trips or internships to widen your view and experience.

A note to my future self

“Stay curious and disciplined—every chance to explore the unknown will be worth it. Your future self will thank you for today’s perseverance.”
