I. Overview of her study abroad journey

Hello, I’m Bao Ji. I came to France for high school in 2015 and graduated in 2018. My BAC score was not the highlight of my journey, and I can’t even recall the exact number, but the experience gave me courage and a fresh start.

After graduation, I studied economics at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Through systematic theory and analytical training, I discovered my interest in business strategy, corporate operations, and financial markets.

Later, I entered ESC P Business School to pursue two master’s programs: Strategy and Digital Business, and Finance. The multi-dimensional courses and international environment deepened my understanding of digital strategy and the finance industry.

II. What she gained in France

Compared with my former school in China, French classes gave me more flexible time and pushed me to examine my interests and strengths. In this balance of freedom and self-discipline, I clarified the direction I wanted to pursue.

During my studies and life in France, I went through plenty of trial and error and self-discovery. Group projects, social practice, and discussions with classmates and teachers helped me build independent thinking and the ability to face uncertainty—skills that still support my work life today.

III. Advice for younger students

1. Master both French and English. Language is the bridge to the world and a core advantage for academics and careers. Whether you stay in France or return home, strong skills in both languages will help you stand firm.

2. Try boldly and trust yourself. You will make mistakes while learning languages, but don’t fear accents or grammar slips. The more you speak and join discussions, the more confidence and fluency you gain.

3. Use your free time to explore interests. The rhythm of French education encourages self-drive. The clearer your goals, the easier it is to find the right resources and paths.

IV. Closing thoughts

For me, studying in France was a crucial journey of self-exploration and growth. It brought academic progress and taught me how to face uncertainty and stay disciplined in a flexible environment.

I hope every student heading to France can use this freedom well—try new things, speak up, and believe you deserve a broader future. Bonne chance!
