1) Academics and study path

I came to France for high school in 2018 and achieved a 16/20 on the French Baccalaureate (Mention Très Bien). After graduation, I joined Sorbonne (Paris IV) to major in French literature and audiovisual media, diving into text analysis, visual storytelling, and cultural communication.

I am now in the second year of my master’s focusing on “literature in the digital context.” From seminar debates to creative practice, France’s humanistic environment shows me how literature can converse with images, sound, and interaction design.

Looking back, from language adaptation to academic exploration, I found my own rhythm and became more determined to tell stories through multiple media.

2) Why studying in France matters

Lockdowns and cross-cultural challenges once made me uneasy. Yet France’s academic climate and deep cultural heritage kept nudging me to explore outward and ask inward: how do I want to communicate with the world?

In one sentence, this journey let me “go see the world.” I met friends from many countries, joined international cultural events, and witnessed how literature and art shape society. The world unfolded before my eyes and widened my perspective.

These experiences taught me patience and composure. Whether life runs smoothly or not, I can return to reading, writing, and creating to regain balance and strength.

3) Advice for future students

  1. Talk with classmates and join campus life. Speak up and collaborate with French classmates on projects. It sharpens language skills and deepens cultural understanding.
  2. Be present and enjoy the journey. “Success” has no single definition. Classes, gatherings, or clubs are all worth committing to and savoring.
  3. Ask for help and explore new possibilities. Seek advice from teachers and peers, travel beyond campus, and visit exhibitions to take in France’s diversity.

When you open up, France responds with inclusiveness and surprises. These experiences become a calm, confident strength.

4) Closing thoughts

Studying in France taught me professional knowledge and, more importantly, how to live and think. Going out to see the world is the best gift I gave myself.

I hope everyone preparing for France will walk forward with courage and clarity, finding your own rhythm and light in a new city.
