Introduction to Lycée Saint-Benoît d'Angers

The Saint-Benoît Educational Group (Ensemble scolaire Saint-Benoît d’Angers) is located in the heart of Angers, a renowned cultural city in Western France. It is a prestigious institution that combines a long tradition with modern educational concepts. The school's history dates back to the end of the 19th century, evolving from two local private schools with excellent reputations: Sainte-Agnès and Saint-Martin, long known in the region for their rigorous teaching and solid academic environment.

To better integrate educational resources and ensure seamless transitions between academic stages, the two long-standing institutions officially merged in 2018 to form today's “Ensemble scolaire Saint-Benoît (Saint-Benoît Educational Group)”. The school now operates an integrated system covering Primary School, Middle School, High School (Lycée), and Preparatory Classes for Higher Education (Classes préparatoires), providing students with a complete path from basic education to French higher education.

The two campuses of Lycée Saint-Benoît are both located in the center of Angers. The school features an innovative pedagogical structure, offering general and technological education programs, with distinctive features in science, digital technology, and languages. It also provides various elective courses in arts, sports, languages, and technology, allowing students to personalize their choices based on their interests and future plans.

The high school welcomes students from diverse countries and backgrounds, emphasizing respect and support for each student's strengths and areas for improvement. The school offers flexible curriculum arrangements for academically outstanding students or those with significant talents in sports or arts, and provides housing options, including on-campus dormitories (at the University campus) and joint multi-school residences, ensuring a secure living environment for international and out-of-town students.
